Before I start work, we sign a contract.
The contract can be prepared as a license or with copyrights transfer.
License - I simply allow you to use my illustrations for e.g. in a book which is published in specified countries, language, in specified number of copies, for a specified time (until now I have worked without any restrictions).
Copyrights transfer - I am no longer owner of the illustrations and you can resell them, use as you wish etc. This is connected with a higher cost.
The rate of an illustration depends on many things.
Is it a single illustration or is it a book? What style are you interested in - realistic, cartoony, full color or black and white?
I work for flat rates (one-time fee divided into several installments, which depend on the project).
There is a possibility to order a sample illustration.
